An Important Lesson

Today, on a college campus, a young woman came up to me and said that "history wasn't only made by rich white men", or something to that effect. As I raised my hand to strike her for speaking to me without permission, I reflected on her statement. She was right, of course; history was made by all SORTS of men, rich and poor, and of all ethnicities. Men from all walks of life have influenced world events, and it's important to keep that in mind. Rather than stike her, I sent her on her way with a good-natured slap on the rear, feeling glad to have taught her such an important lesson.
